An interior architectural light cove for accent lighting features light gauge metal framing and a gypsum board finish. The drop-down ceiling assembly includes a horizontal offset of six and one-half inches and a vertical drop of four inches from the upper ceiling plane. Light gauge metal ceiling framing supports the gypsum board finish throughout the lower ceiling and vertical cove drop. Dimensions indicate a clearance of one foot, one and fifteen-sixteenths inches between the upper ceiling plane and the cove ledge.
