A tile floor is installed over a non-fracture membrane and thin-set mortar per specifications, adjoining a wood floor supported by a concrete substrate and typical floor buildup. A scheduled transition strip aligns the finished floor heights between the different floor materials. The wood flooring connects adjacent to the transition strip over the underlying floor assembly.
