Metal junction boxes are mounted in opposite sides of a metal stud partition in separate stud cavities with a minimum twenty-four-inch horizontal separation. Flexible cable runs between the junction boxes where required. An outlet box pad wraps around each junction box, and continuous acoustical sealant is applied around the perimeter of the boxes. Acoustical insulation fills the stud cavity behind the wall finishes, and cover plates finish the assembly on both sides.
