A transition occurs between a precast concrete door header opening and an adjacent metal stud gypsum board partition wall. The precast element is secured using anchor bolts spaced at three feet on center with shims provided as required. Joint sealant backed by a backer rod is applied at each side of the precast interface. A metal stud with gypsum board finish connects adjacent to the precast assembly.
