A built-up cold-formed steel stud column anchors to a concrete slab on grade. The assembly consists of a continuous bottom track secured to the concrete slab using 3/8-inch diameter by 4-1/2-inch long Simpson Titen HD anchor bolts, with Simpson SSC4.25 connectors. Three vertical studs matching typical wall studs are framed with two typical tracks, fastened using eight number 10 self-tapping screws at 12 inches on center. Typical studs tie into the continuous bottom track with five number 10 screws per side.
