A non-removable pipe bollard is embedded in a concrete footing. The assembly consists of a five-inch diameter schedule eighty steel pipe filled with concrete, extending four feet above the line of paving and embedded three feet into a one-foot-six-inch diameter concrete footing. Two number five by one-foot steel bars are welded to the pipe sleeve at the base within the footing. A sealant, backer rod, and expansion joint filler surround the pipe at the paving line with a half-inch typical clearance. The steel pipe is finished with hot-dip galvanizing after fabrication and fitted with a safety yellow high-density polyethylene bollard cover.
