The aluminum storefront system is set atop a tilt-up concrete monolithic panel, which features an aluminum-faced rigid board insulation layer. The storefront frame is positioned with a typical one and one-quarter inch offset from the grid line. A sealant bead is applied at the exterior interface between the storefront sill and the concrete substrate. The concrete panel edge is finished with a chamfer strip to provide a clean transition at the exterior face.
