An elevator door threshold meets the finish floor as scheduled, bearing against a steel angle anchored to the concrete floor structure. The steel angle is fastened to the slab edge using an expansion bolt. The finish floor material abuts the threshold assembly to maintain a smooth transition at the elevator opening.
