Suspended acoustical ceiling grid layout featuring main runners at 4 feet on center and cross runners at 2 feet on center with additional cross runners for 2 foot by 2 foot grids. Twelve-gauge vertical hanger wires are spaced at a maximum of 4 feet on center, with perimeter hanger wires spaced up to 8 inches or one-fourth the length of the channel. Four diagonal brace wires are installed at a maximum 12-foot by 12-foot grid spacing with a maximum half-grid distance to brace wires. Vertical struts consisting of heavy gauge metal studs are placed at a maximum of 12 feet on center.
