A buckling-restrained brace with a core connects to a wide-flange beam and column frame at a designated work point. A slotted tube at the brace frame interfaces with the gusset connection, secured with a one-inch clearance detail. Fillet welds sized at one-quarter inch are applied typically along the gusset and beam web connections. The wide-flange beam is sized per elevation with continuous stiffener plates framing the connection zone.
