This heavy duty concrete pavement section consists of a nine-inch concrete slab reinforced with number four epoxy-coated bars at six inches on center both ways with a two-inch typical clear cover. The concrete slab rests on a six-inch processed aggregate base, which is supported by a prepared subgrade. Vertical dimensions detail a total thickness with six inches allocated to the top portion of the slab and three inches to the bottom layer containing the reinforcement. Finish grade is indicated at the top surface of the concrete paving.
