A concrete cold joint assembly incorporates a water stop embedded at the intersection of a concrete curb or wall and a lower concrete element. Reinforcing steel is placed according to structural requirements. Notes specify that a water stop is required at every cold joint below grade and at all exposed cold joints above grade.
