Pressure indicators, temperature transmitters, and temperature indicators are installed on both supply and return lines of the drain water heat exchanger piping arrangement. Isolation valves flank the heat exchanger to facilitate maintenance and flow control. Additional instrumentation includes flow control elements, drain valves, and a pressure relief safety valve assembly on the outgoing line.
