A non-rated fire extinguisher cabinet is set into a metal stud partition with a two-and-a-half-inch semi-recession depth. Gypsum board wraps around all sides of the cabinet enclosure. Metal angles secure the frame against the surrounding wall construction. Acoustical insulation fills the partition cavities where required by the partition type. A minimum six-inch metal stud or chase partition construction is required to accommodate the recessed depth.
