A metal duct penetrates a roof assembly through a prefabricated roof curb mounted over rigid insulation, cover board, vapor barrier, and a structural deck. A non-combustible metal stud nailer caps the top of the curb to secure the assembly. Roof membrane flashing extends up and over the curb with a minimum six-inch horizontal dimension and eight-inch minimum vertical rise. A stainless steel cap flashing sheds water away from the curb joint, sealed at the duct interface with continuous sealant.
