This assembly comprises cold-formed metal studs faced on both sides with two layers of 5/8-inch Type X impact-rated gypsum board. The internal wall cavity is fully filled with sound-attenuated mineral wool batt insulation rated at R-24. The partition complies with UL design number V438 and accommodates both 6-inch and 3-5/8-inch framing depths per structural requirements.
