An aluminum storefront door with a sweep rests on an aluminum threshold, which is set in a full bed of mastic and anchored directly to the concrete slab. The exterior concrete slab adjoins the interior flooring assembly, which features a one-half-inch scheduled flooring finish applied over the concrete slab substrate. A minimum ten-inch vertical clearance dimension is maintained at the base of the storefront frame assembly.
