A continuous metal parapet coping is installed over a wood fiber tapered edge strip that provides a slope of one-quarter inch per one foot. The coping snaps onto a continuous metal cleat anchored to the exterior face. A treated two-inch wood nailer is fastened to the top of the masonry wall using one-quarter inch by four-inch masonry screw anchors spaced at twelve inches on center staggered. A waterproofing membrane extends below the nailer and is secured beneath the assembly.
