An HSS 4 x 4 x 1/4 column bears on a 10 inch by 10 inch by 3/4 inch base plate secured by four 3/4 inch diameter anchor bolts. A 1 1/2 inch non-shrink grout layer sits beneath the base plate over the concrete foundation. The concrete footing measures 4 feet square by 12 inches deep and is reinforced with four number 4 bars each way with 3 inches of clear cover typical. The assembly is centered on the column footing unless noted otherwise.
