The assembly is supported by metal stud framing faced with five-eighths inch gypsum board on both sides. A half-inch by half-inch aluminum channel is set into the sill framing to receive a quarter-inch tempered glass pane. A full bed of clear silicone sealant secures the glass within the channel. Painted medium density fiberboard with a bullnose edge finished with paint designation PNT-2 caps the sill framing on either side of the glass.
