A buckling-restrained brace connects to a steel column and steel beam assembly with a concrete slab over a steel deck. The gusset plate and brace attachment are provided by the manufacturer typically. Stiffener plates are located on the near side and far side of the column web as required by the manufacturer typically. The beam connects to the column flange using a bolted web connection. The buckling-restrained braces align with a common working point at the column centerline and floor intersection.
