An insulated metal panel jamb assembly is framed with high-density polyethylene blocking encased in a formed metal channel trim. Continuous butyl sealant is applied at the interior and exterior trim interfaces to maintain weather tightness. Phillips pan head fasteners secure the metal trim to the insulated panel assembly through pre-drilled locations. The wood blocking provides structural support for the edge trim and fastener engagement at the wall opening.
