An exhaust louver with bird screen and an aluminum washable filter is set into an opening in the wall with a three-quarter inch clearance. Weathertight caulk seals the perimeter at both interior and exterior edges. The louver and security bar frame are secured to the wall using three-eighths inch diameter by two and one-half inch long bolts, spaced two on each of the four sides typically, with shims added as required for proper alignment.
