An exterior door sill transitions to an interior entrance mat assembly mounted over a concrete slab. The door frame and aluminum threshold sit above a clear anodized aluminum flashing set in compatible sealant, with voids beneath the threshold filled solid with non-shrink grout. A compressible fill and backer rod with sealant are installed at the exterior slab joint, where the exterior grade slopes away. On the interior side, floor tile over thin-set mortar aligns with an aluminum tapered angle frame and a square end vinyl entrance mat as scheduled.
