A storefront system abuts a scheduled metal stud partition framed with double studs at the jamb. Gypsum board returns form the wall finish up to the aluminum storefront frame. Shims are placed as required between the framing and the storefront system. A backer rod and sealant joint seal the perimeter gap between the metal stud partition return and the storefront frame.
