A suspended ceiling accommodates a fire sprinkler head penetration with specific clearance margins. Two-inch oversized trim rings surround the sprinkler and other penetrations to allow for at least one inch of movement in all directions. The installation maintains a minimum two-inch clearance width and a one-inch vertical clearance dimension.
