The assembly features a concrete floor slab supported by a steel beam with a bent plate embedded at the edge aligned four inches from the face of glass. The curtain wall system transitions at the slab edge with vision glass at the head joint sealed with three-quarter-inch sealant and backer rod. The spandrel glass below incorporates two inches of foil-faced curtain wall insulation behind metal stud framing and exterior sheathing protected by a weather-resistant barrier. Shims are placed as required beneath the sill assembly, which is trimmed with a metal panel breakshape measuring one foot in height.
