Contrasting paint P-1 is applied to the upper approach landing and the lower tread of each flight of steps, as specified in the finish schedule on sheet A10.00. Dimensional requirements establish the stripe placement with a minimum of 2 inches and maximum of 4 inches from the riser, maintaining a maximum width of 1 inch.
