This concrete tunnel section details the foundation slab, walls, and top slab assembly with a two-inch minimum lean concrete mud slab placed beneath the main invert. Waterproofing is applied continuously along the exterior of the walls and beneath the base slab, supplemented by waterstops installed at construction joints. A half-inch expansion joint material and sealant are provided at the top slab junction. Elevation markers indicate the top of slab at zero feet and top of trench at minus one foot eight inches, with the low trench slab varying.
