The hollow metal frame connects to scheduled partitions with required fasteners through the jamb return, maintaining a one-half inch minimum wallboard penetration. Continuous acoustical sealant is applied on all sides between the frame and the wall assembly. The scheduled door swings within the frame, which includes scheduled hinges and locksets. An adjacent perpendicular wall is positioned four inches from the opening, and an eighteen-inch strike side clearance is maintained per ADA requirements.
