A concrete-filled metal pan stair tread and riser assembly connects to a thickened concrete slab at an exterior wall. The metal pan is detailed with a half-inch radius stair nosing and a two-inch by two-inch by three-sixteenth-inch steel angle welded to the stringer. An anchor secures the steel angle to the structural concrete slab per structural drawings. Metal pans and risers are filled with concrete, and the metal pan is welded where the connection occurs.
