This two-hour exterior wall assembly consists of cold-formed steel metal studs with optional cavity insulation between them. The exterior side features a fluid-applied water-resistive barrier system finished with cement plaster over lath. The interior side is finished with two layers of 5/8-inch Type X gypsum board, while the exterior side incorporates one layer of 5/8-inch Type X gypsum board over the metal framing.
