Standard roof drain and overflow drain assemblies are installed within a built-up roof over plywood sheathing on structural framing. The assembly features a primary roof drain and an overflow roof drain with associated domes and sumps. Wood framing consists of two 2x8 minimum members and 2x6 minimum framing secured with 10d nails at 6 inches on center staggered. A 4-pound lead flashing sheet is set into roof cement over the installed base sheet. A cant strip is provided beyond the drain sump, and exterior grade plywood lines the assembly at 3/4-inch thickness. The overflow drain shield is positioned a minimum of 2 inches above the roof deck.
