A future column thickening contains anchor bolts embedded in a concrete foundation element. The surrounding concrete slab features a trowel smooth finish sprayed with a bond breaker and separated by a double slip sheet where it interfaces with the separate pour. The assembly accommodates future steel column installation by isolating the initial concrete pours with a six-inch offset dimension.
