This one-hour rated assembly features a double metal stud configuration at vertical wall joints where the studs remain unattached to each other with a 5/8-inch air-gap. Each side receives gypsum board per the wall legend, with optional insulation where noted. A number 093 zinc 1/4-inch by 7/16-inch control joint by ClarkDietrich Systems is installed on each side. Two layers of 5/8-inch Type X gypsum board attach to the metal studs using 1-5/8-inch Type S screws spaced at 24 inches on center.
