A flexible fire sprinkler head drop utilizes a corrugated stainless steel hose with a stainless steel braid connected to the main water line. The assembly fastens to metal joists or wood joists through a galvanized sheet metal adjustable hub secured with self-tapping sheet metal screws. The sprinkler head penetrates a gypsum board ceiling and is supported by an adjustable bracket clamped to the ceiling framing. All flexible sprinkler components must come from a single manufacturer such as Flexhead Industries, with hose length determined by the fire sprinkler contractor.
