A mechanical duct passes through a scheduled partition, requiring continuous acoustical sealant at the gap between the duct and partition assembly. Any gap larger than one-half inch must be covered with gypsum board lapped a minimum of two inches and screwed in place before applying the acoustical sealant. Thermal insulation is provided where indicated on the drawings.
