A hollow metal door frame connects to a concrete masonry unit wall of a type and dimension specified in the partition schedule. A minimum of four masonry T-anchors per jamb secure the frame. Shims are placed typically at the jamb connection. Sealant with a backer rod is applied to both sides of the joint between the frame and the masonry wall.
