A continuous L4x3x1/4 angle connects the stair stringer to an embedded steel plate at the concrete podium slab edge. The assembly features a one-and-a-half-inch blockout and a three-and-a-half-inch edge dimension to the leading edge of the nosing. Four three-sixteenths fillet welds secure each end of the angle, supplemented by intermittent welds along the stringer. A quarter-inch steel plate at the slab edge aligns and welds directly to the stringer assembly.
