A scheduled partition intersects with a countertop assembly featuring wood framing and a finish over substrate. Sealant is applied at the vertical and horizontal joints between the partition and the casework. A two-inch wood framing member sits above a three-and-a-half-inch space, with a total vertical dimension of nine inches to the top of the countertop above.
