An eight-inch diameter extra-strength steel pipe bollard is filled with concrete and topped with a smooth curved concrete cap dome, finished with safety yellow paint. The post mounts to a one-half-inch thick steel base plate, reinforced with one-quarter-inch gussets welded to the post and base plate. Four three-quarter-inch diameter expansion anchors secure each corner of the base plate into the concrete slab on grade, providing a minimum embedment of four and one-eighth inches. The square base plate measures one foot two inches on each side with the anchor bolts spaced five inches from center.
