This assembly secures a .236 inch Defenselite or similar approved over-glazing product to a storefront window system with insulated glazing. The over-glazing is held in place by a 1 inch by 1 inch by 1/16 inch aluminum tube, which is fastened using number 12 by 2 inch stainless steel screws with security tips and countersunk washers. For standard systems, fasteners are spaced 4 inches from each end and 12 inches on center, while high crime systems require 6 inches on center spacing. The assembly includes bond tape and perimeter sealant at the interface between the over-glazing and the aluminum tube.
