A four-by-eight cedar fence post is supported by a steel post bracket that is anchored into a concrete patio slab. The bracket features a vertical steel stem that extends two feet six inches into an eight-inch square concrete footing below the slab. The post is secured to the bracket with two through-bolts. A galvanized steel bar grating is positioned adjacent to the post, maintaining a maximum four-inch clearance above the concrete patio surface.
