A twelve-gauge ceiling clip with a minimum width of one inch is fastened directly to the underside of a metal deck supporting lightweight or normal weight concrete. Powder-actuated fasteners or direct-tension pins secure the clip through the bottom flange of the metal deck into the concrete fill. A wire hanger extends downward from the clip with a maximum offset of one half inch.
