A 3-inch square 12-gauge steel fence post embeds into a 14-inch diameter concrete pier footing with a depth of 54 inches. The pier is reinforced with a cage consisting of six number 5 vertical bars and a number 3 rebar spiral with a 2-inch pitch. The spiral features 3 extra turns within the top 5 inches of the footing. The concrete mix is specified at 3000 PSI.
