A cable bundle penetrates a partition per plan through an optional four-inch minimum diameter steel sleeve. Firestopping sealant is applied flush with each end of the sleeve at a five-eighths inch minimum depth. A one-half inch diameter bead of fill material surrounds the sleeve perimeter on both sides of the wall when the sleeve extends beyond the wall surface. The assembly complies with UL listing W-L-3065, restricting cable fill to a maximum of forty-five percent of the opening cross-sectional area.
