A one-hour fire-rated hollow metal door jamb is set within a metal stud partition. The assembly includes cold-formed metal stud framing, batt insulation sized per the partition schedule, and fire-rated sealant applied to both sides of the frame. The hollow metal frame accommodates openings up to three feet wide and interfaces with a fire-rated door and gypsum board wall finishes.
