A drift head condition at a vertical metal panel exterior wall assembly. The exterior features vertical metal cladding installed over Z-furring, with an inside closure sealed with tape mastic at the top and bottom. Water-resistive barrier laps over the wall flashing, accompanied by flexible flashing and two inches of rigid wall insulation. The interior backing consists of gypsum wall board incorporating a control joint and a structural drift joint detail.
