Fire sprinkler pipe suspended from a steel joist with a wood nailer using a Sammy screw anchor and threaded rod. The assembly utilizes a 1/4" x 2" Sammy SWG 20 anchor for 1" to 2-1/2" pipe, or a 3/8" x 2-1/2" Sammy SWG 25-380 anchor for 3" pipe. A 3/8" x 5-1/2" all-threaded rod connects the anchor to a Tolco Fig. #200 ring supporting the 2-1/2" pipe. Accompanying text provides NFPA 13, 2019 sections 18.5.5.10 and 18.6.5 regarding lateral bracing and line restraint exemptions for short hanger rods.
