A suspended gypsum board ceiling terminates at a furred drywall partition with a seven-eighths-inch clearance gap. Metal furring channels support the ceiling gypsum board, suspended by wire ties and perpendicular metal channels running beyond. A flexible dust membrane bridges the gap between the ceiling board and the partition to prevent air and dust infiltration. The furred gypsum board partition below is constructed as scheduled on the architectural drawings.
